Products Shown: Pink Sangria 3 Wick Candle
Brown Sugar Fig 3 Wick Candle
Purchased From: Bath and Body Works

PROS
The Pink Sangria smells like pink lemonade
The Brown Sugar Fig has a unique smell I can't really describe it but if you love the body products
in brown sugar fig, you will love the candle.
CONS
I didn't like the fact that when I burned pink sangria and brown sugar fig in a larger room, I could barely smell the scent. But when I burn this in my bathroom or bedroom I can really smell the scent.

It is battery operated. I wish it was rechargeable like the Clairsonic Cleansing Brush.

Skincare

Product Shown: Nivea Soft Cream
Purchased from: Walmart $ 7

PROS
I love this product!!! I originally bought this to use on my feet. My feet tend to get very dry and ashy and that's not hot!! So my mom always would tell me to use Vaseline on my feet but I HATE Vaseline so I went to walmart and found this. It is very VERY moisturizing!!! What I love about this, is the fact that it is moisturizing and lasts all day and it's not heavy at all on the skin.

CONS
I wish it came in a bigger jar. :(

Product Shown: Ivi Scents Body Frosting in Birthday Cake

My boo loves it :) lol
Moisturizing
Made with no Mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, gmo's, triclosan, or cruelty.

CONS
It's a very thick consistency, So it was very heavy on my skin and I don't like that too much. I would only use this at night.

Versatile Blog Award

Hey Yall!!
First off I want to thank Ms. Tone- Lise for giving me this award. I surely wasn't expecting it so when I seen this it really made my day. So you all please go check out blog, CLICK HERE!. And thanks again sweetheart! So, one of the rules that came along with this award, was that I had to share 7 things about me. so here we go... :)

7 Things About Me!!!
1. I'm obsessed with Dancing with the Stars. Since I was a little girl, I've always loved anything dance related.
2. I love sitting at home, watching a movie, with a nice meal and candles burning.
3. I love Smooth Jazz and 90's music. 9.5 times out of 10 ( YES I said "9.5" lol) Im listening to jazz, 90's and some 00' music or gospel. I rarely listen to anything that is recent. I just love old love songs and just that feel good music. It's not to many artists that stick with that classic r&b these days.
4. I grew up a military brat. My dad was in the air force I believe 20 years so my whole life revolved around the military. I absolutely loved traveling around and meeting all different kinds of people. I have a soft spot for those in the military because it's where I come from and all I really know. So I defintley support our troops! <3
5. I got jungle fever. LOL.
6. I LOVE the new Strawberry and Creme Pies at Mc Donalds. Random.
7. I Love Braxton's Family Values

What's for dessert? Carmel Apple Pecan Cake

Caramel Apple Pecan Cake

1 Betty Crocker Super Moist Yellow Cake
About 2 cups Pecan Pieces (optional)
1 Can of Apple Pie Filling or 2-3 Granny Smith apples (peeled and cut into slices)
Smuckers Caramel topping

Preheat oven to 325 degrees ( if you're using a dark pan or nonstick pan, if not preheat to 350 degrees). Prepare Cake mix according to the box. In your desired pan, coat the bottom of the pan with caramel topping. Sprinkle with Pecan pieces (optional). Next Add Apple pie filling or Fresh Granny Smith apples to the bottom of the pan. Spread apples into as single layer as much as possible. Do NOT stir. Finally pour the cake batter on top of the topping. If needed spread evenly in a single layer with the back of a butter knife or spoon. *Bake cake for about 25-40 mins. When done take cake out the oven and allow than pan to cool on a baking rack for about 10 mins. Take a butter knife and run knife along the edges of the cake, this will help the cake release better. Finally take a serving dish, put it on top of the cake, and flip cake over. Let the cake sit for about a minute, to allow the caramel to drip into the cake and also it will allow the cake to fully release from the pan. You want to serve this cake warm, so take baking pan off, cut up your cake and Dig in. :)

*When baking your cake, you'll know when it is done by pressing your finger in the center of the cake, and the cake springs back.

What's for Dessert?

Hey everybody!!!
Lately my sweet tooth has been in overdrive. I cant stop craving sweets!! I keep bags of candy in my house, ice cream in the freezer and I stay baking cakes, cheesecakes etc. I need to be checked into rehab lol. So today, as usual, I was craving sweets but I wanted something a little out of the usual. So I got to brainstorming and what I came up with was, a strawberry banana cake. If you love strawberry banana like I do, you will absolutely adore this cake. And it's really simple to make too.

Strawberry Banana Cake

(Don't judge my frosting skills :P ) haha.

Cake
1 Betty Crocker's Super Moist Yellow Cake
3-4 Bananas Mashed
1/4 Strawberry Pie Filling
1 Teaspoon Strawberry Extract
2 Teaspoon Banana Extract

Icing
2 Philadelphia Cream Cheese (room temperature)
1 box Confectioners Sugar

Topping
Remainder of Strawberry Pie Filling
1-2 Bananas cut in slices

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Prepare Betty Crocker's Cake Mix as directed and set aside (do not bake!!) In a separate bowl, mash bananas, then add to the cake mixture. Next add 1/4 c of strawberry pie filling, 1 tsp. strawberry extract, and 2 tsp banana extract. Mix well. Spray baking pans, then add cake mixture and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

While the cake is baking, prepare the icing.
In a bowl mix cream cheese and powder sugar with hand held blender. Blend until smooth.
(Tip- Keep the frosting in the fridge until you're ready to use it.)

After your cake is cool, Begin Icing your cake as usual. Top the cake with the remainder strawberry filling and banana slices. Store the cake in fridge.
(Tip- I only put the banana slices in between the two cake layers. And I also squeezed some lemon juice over them to keep them from turning brown.)

R.I.P Whitney Houston

Hey boo's :/

I am so saddened by the lost of Whitney Houston. I been a huge fan of Whitney, probably since I was born. I know she wasn't related to me but geesh.. it feels like a part of me is missing now. I was just looking at her videos the other day, so I could recreate her makeup for black history month. I never would've thought that I would be sitting her typing the post mourning the lost of her. There will never be another talent, another voice like Mrs Whitney Houston. My heart and my prayers goes out to her daughter, and the rest of her family. May you rest in peace whitney. we love you.

Black History Month Inspired FOTD| Missy Elliot

Hey boo's
For Black History Month I wanted to create different makeup looks inspired by Black Women. This look I created today was inspired by the super talented Missy Elliot. If you don't know who Missy Elliot is you need to get up from up under that rock boo :P . Missy is such a talented singer, producer, songwriter, etc. The woman is genius at what she does. I am such a fan. For Missy, I wanted to recreate a makeup look from her music video, The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly). I remember the first time I seen this video, I had to be about 9 years old. And I remember Missy with this big old black suit on. It look like a trash bag. I asked my mom, WHY is this woman was wearing a freakin trash bag in a video!! lol. But looking back on the video today, it is still one the most creative and unique videos I've ever seen. Missy Elliot was truly way above her time when she did that video and a genius to say the least. But.. I hope you all enjoy the pics. I enjoyed doing the makeup. I really love this look and might have to do it again on a night out with the girls. Enjoy boo boo's.
